Our aim is:

‘to run an exciting museum as an excellent attraction, utilising historical artefacts, documents and the latest technology which will lead both the local community and visitors - of all ages - on a memorable journey through the rich maritime and social history of Llŷn’

Opening Hours 2026

We are pleased to announce that this museum will be open like this during the Easter holidays:
Wednesday - Saturday: 10.30am - 4:00pm (last entry 3.30pm)
Sunday: 11:00am - 3:00pm

Then between then and the May half term (that is between 13 April and 24 May), it will be as follows:
Friday and Saturday: 10.30am - 4:00pm (last entry 3.30pm)
Sunday: 11:00am - 3:00pm

We especially welcome group bookings by clubs, societies and schools. Please contact us to arrange.

Christmas Afternoon

Thank you to everyone who came to our Christmas Afternoon with Mair Tomos Ifans, a very enjoyable afternoon, and a chance to learn more about the Plygain tradition and traditional charols. Everyone enjoyed the mince pies by Cegin Vernau too. Thank you to the Night Out scheme for the funding. There was even a chance to sing a few carols to get everyone into the Christmas spirit.
